Pastor Steven Campbell was born on September 15, 1961 to James and the late Barbara Campbell. He received his high school diploma from River Rouge High School in Detroit, Michigan. It was during his sophomore year of college, however, that Pastor Steven Campbell, then only 18 years old, accepted his invitation to Christ.

After graduating from Ferris State with a bachelor’s degree in Graphic Arts, Steven joined the New Greater Bethlehem Temple Church in Ecorse, Michigan, where he served under the late District Elder George Price Sr. While there he taught Sunday School for the Junior Class, worked with the Missionary and Brotherhood auxiliaries, and was called into the ministry to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ.

In 1995, after 15 years of service with New Greater Bethlehem Temple Church, the Lord led Steven and his family to Bethlehem Temple Pentecostal Church of Detroit. Here he would serve as Associate Minister under the leadership of District Elder Dr. Samuel Hemmingway. Steven later received his ministerial license and eldership from Aenon Bible College through the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World. He was ordained through the Pentecostal Assembly of the World at the Northern District Council in 1998.

In 1984, Pastor Steven married Eleanor Denise McKinley with whom he would later found the Bethesda Temple of Detroit Apostolic Faith Ministry. Together they maintain their commitment to each other and to preaching and upholding the mighty word of Jesus Christ.

Pastor Campbell and Lady Campbell have been married for 38 years and are the proud parents of three wonderful children: Victoria, Steven II, and Eric. They also have two granddaughters, Lauryn and Kinsley. Still as driven today as he was as a college athlete, Steven is the owner Steven’s Cleaning Service he established  in 2000,” and continues to be an avid sports fan.
